With all the electrical components outside the aquarium and a variety of easy-to-program modes, the VorTech is the safest, most versatile pump on the market. And, if your tank needs to grow, the MP20 can be upgraded to the MP40w providing you wireless communication between your pumps and even more functionality and flow.

Operational Modes
* Feed Mode - Slows down your pump for 10 minutes to allow you to feed your aquarium.

* Constant Speed Mode - The pump runs at a constant speed you set based on your aquariums specific needs.

* Reef Crest Mode - Automatically simulates the high-energy conditions of a natural reef crest environment.

* Lagoon Mode - Automatically simulates a calmer, lagoon reef environment.

* Short Pulse Mode - Allows for wave pulse timings between 0.3 and two seconds, enabling the creation of FAST alternating flow throughout the tank.

* Long Pulse Mode - Allows for wave pulse timings of between two seconds and 60 seconds, enabling the creation of slow alternating flow throughout the tank.

* Pump Disconnect - Automatically shuts down the system if the wet and dry sides become separated.

Fantastic pump, I have this and Seio 1100 on my 55 gallon great flow and traversing effect. Goal is to get another MP20 to wireless link them together and loose the seio. I would recommend this to anyone of my customers or freinds.

I was a little hesitant on spending this much money on a pump for my tank. After buying it, I have no regrets, it was well worth it. This pump is loaded with features and has an ton of flow. The random wave patterns are awesome. The way it mounts flat on my tank allows me to focus on my corals and fish and not some buly powerheads everywhere in my tank. I like the fact that if I upgrade my tank, I can upgrade this pump also. I wouldn't have to buy another pump or more pumps.
