Provides high grade all natural calcium for lush growth of purple, pink and green coralline algaes on live rock. Returns calcium levels to those found in natural seawater. Contains Strontium and Selenium for enhanced ionic exchange. Actively works to reduce nitrates. Binds to natural waste products and is a natural pH buffer. Greatly reduces the need for water changes.
Calcium is known to be a prime nutrient for metabolism and is considered by the aquarium industry as a necessary and highly productive supplement for marine environments. Strontium and Selenium are also revered as indispensable for a proper aquarium electrolytic balance. In our trials we have found a specific blend of these aggregates create the best ionic exchange in the Bio-Dynamics process. Calcium alone is much less efficient. It is essential to note that other microelements contained in this product provide benefits beyond those found in our Bio-Trio of Calcium, Strontium and Selenium. Molybdenum for instance, even at low levels significantly enhances the stability of the targeted ion reaction. The combined effect helps maximize biologically available oxygen potential.
Calcium Vital Plus is made of the finest all natural calcium and other essential minerals which are crucial nutrients needed for accelerated coral growth and beautification. Calcium level should be maintained at 450 ppm in marine aquariums with both hard and soft corals. The addition of a natural de-nitrification agent in Calcium Vital Plus increases its effectiveness by naturally preconditioning the ammonias within the aquarium. This action enhances the Redox reaction (oxidation reduction) and almost immediately breaks down the ammonias into nitrites and nitrates, which then biologically dissipate.
