Kent Marine Pro Tech Coat 64 oz
Pro Tech Coat neutralizes chlorine and heavy metals while helping to restore the natural slime coating to calm fish and relieve their stress and protect against abrasion. It helps acclimatize fish to new surroundings. It can be used when preparing tap water, making water changes, adding new fish, handling fish, transporting fish, or when fish are wounded. Pro Tech Coat is different than competing products because it contains only costly polyvinylpyrrolidone as the coating ingredient. This same product is FDA approved as an ingredient in human medicinal and nutrition products.
Directions: Important: Adjust alkalinity to a minimum of 2 dKH (or 40 ppm or .75 meq/L) using Kent pH STABLE, if necessary. Dilute one drop per gallon of aquarium capacity or one teaspoon (capful or 5 ml) per 50 gallons (190 liters) of aquarium capacity in cup of water and evenly disperse around the aquarium. Precipitated particles should be removed by a properly working mechanical filter and fine filtering medium, such as filter floss, or siphoned out. Allow 8 hours before siphoning. Repeat in 24 hours, if necessary.
Note: Do not use this product at night or on very soft water (i.e. below 40 ppm total alkalinity) without first adjusting alkalinity as directed above! Operate aquarium lights a minimum of 4 hours after use and provide good circulation and aeration during use!
