CALCULATE THE RECOMMENDED PUMP FOR YOUR AQUARIUM,
POND, or SYSTEM with this simple utility.
This utility assumes several basic plumbing
principles, one being that you DO NOT reduce the output
piping diameter of your pump. The second being that you
DO NOT reduce the input piping diameter of your pump. The
third AND MOST IMPORTANT being that your pump has a flooded
suction. A flooded suction means that under normal operating
circumstances, water will reach the intake of the pump
without the pump operating.
This utility uses several factors to provide an answer
that is as accurate as possible, but it is still an approximation.
**3/4 INCH DIAMETER PIPING IS NOT RECOMMENDED
FOR USE ON SYSTEMS WITH A FLOW RATE OVER 1200 GALLONS PER
HOUR**
**1 INCH DIAMETER PIPING IS NOT RECOMMENDED
FOR USE ON SYSTEMS WITH A FLOW RATE OVER 2000 GALLONS PER
HOUR**
**1-1/2 INCH DIAMETER PIPING IS NOT
RECOMMENDED FOR USE ON SYSTEMS WITH A FLOW RATE OVER 4000
GALLONS PER HOUR**
